2020 SEED FAIR

The Department of Agriculture is organizing a 3-day event of Seed Fair in Nay Pyi Taw. This Seed Fair aims for more interaction between the farmers and the seeds distribution companies, all-round development of seed sector, and accelerating the public-private-partnership. The motto of the Seed Fair was "Myanmar will be a Seed Exporting Country. The participants were DOA, DAR, MSVP and seed industry. There were booths of not only seed companies but many machinery and ancillaries required by the seed companies. On display were fields of various vegetable and field crops.‘2020 Seed Fair’ is being held at the State Agricultural Institute in Pyinmana Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area from 28th to 30th January.

A total of 48 booths from the Departments and 29 private companies display their products at the Seed Fair. Many Farmers from different regions and states came to seed fair for study visit. The total number of visitors in the 3-day fair were more than 40,000.

The Seed Fair has been organizing since 2018, and this year is the third time holding of the fair.
